New year... new studio...
It’s been a long time coming, but, we’ve finally found a great studio to work in on Mallow Street, EC1 – hidden away just off the Old Street roundabout close to lots of other creative agencies that we are proud to call our new neighbours.
Over the last 7 months, we have been working remotely. As you all know, this has its advantages and disadvantages, but we are really pumped and excited to get back into an open and collaborative working space where we can host clients, conduct meetings, and also grow in a new direction.
Change is a good thing
With change comes a time to reflect, and during this remote working period, we have had a chance to reposition ourselves as an agency and really think about what we want to achieve in our new studio environment over the next few years.
Long term, we want to strengthen our offering as the go-to agency for simplifying complex business systems into high-end corporate videos and animations. We also want to produce more content where sustainability, mindfulness and data are the focus and with more time and a dedicated department to push 3D visualisations and animation.
But how do we actually plan to do this? Firstly we’ve given serious thought to a number of core agency values that we will benchmark ourselves against in 2023. These include being Reliable, Responsive, Friendly, Creative and most important Collaborative – now, we were doing all of these before but we are going to be super-strict with ourselves to be even more so – this is our new year’s resolution.
We also have an exciting new offering in the emerging brand and social content space – we cannot say too much just now as it’s still in development but we are planning and designing a dedicated arm of SQZD. to commit to this type of work. Watch this space.
We want to work with you
Given our new location, we would really like to collaborate with other branding agencies and advertising services on our new doorstep. Especially ones who align with our ambitions; becoming their studio of choice for high-end animation and video and working together on agile, digital-first brands. We would love to have the opportunity to white-label or work in a joint venture with you all – expect a personalised email soon and an invite to the animation studio for a coffee.
Merry Christmas Everybody
The entire animation studio was in festive form at the ‘Great Christmas Feast’ to celebrate our year. The Dickensian outfits were not mandatory but actively encouraged, and the food and wine were free-flowing. Thank you to Rich and Kay for spoiling us all and providing such a great staff Christmas do!
