It feels strange writing this on a rainy September day but Freshly Squeezed August covers all things Summer.

SQZD. Sports Day

We held a very impromptu sports day as a way for the team to blow off some steam. It had all the usual games; egg and spoon race, relay race, and we even had a Covid friendly challenge where we raced to put hand sanitiser, gloves and masks on.

We tucked into some British summertime classics to celebrate the sun being out: scones, strawberries and cream, cucumber sandwiches and some veggie cocktail sausages. ⁣

As much as we love being in the office, it’s great to have time out doing fun things as a team.

We crowned Anna our Sports day champion who made light work of the wellie throwing finale, leaving Jack as runner up, and Nicky in third place.

Foundling Museum

We also had a morning out and about visiting the Foundling Museum and their Quentin Blake exhibition. We took a wander down to see a selection of Quentin’s original illustrations. Many of you will recognise his work from Roald Dahl stories.

It’s good to step out of work as a team, especially to be inspired creatively by different environments and activities like exhibitions.

Directors Holiday

Rich and Kay, our Directors took some well deserved time off during August. They took two weeks off and toured scotland. It was their first break in quite some time but we manned the fort.
